Participants in our GodMom & GodPop program engage in a correspondence ministry of prayer, encouragement and advice to students who participate in the Conquerers Faith-Based Dorm program. You can participate as an individual GodMom or GodPop or as a husband and wife team.
Each month you will receive a completed lesson page and note from your student. You respond by sharing encouragement, scripture references and life lessons from your own experience related to the topic of the lesson. You pray for your student’s spiritual growth and development on a daily basis. Your correspondence is mailed back to a safe address and is hand-delivered to the student.
Many of these students receive no mail or visits of any kind during their incarceration so although your notes require only a small effort on your part, they produce great blessings to their recipients. If you want to meet your student, you can attend Super Celebration events and have an opportunity for 1:1 mentoring and fellowship. Indeed, GodMoms and GodPops change two lives forever... The students’ they correspond with and their own!
